Pre Existing Condition Visitor Health Insurance Participation Rate Doubles for India Network

Orlando, FL (PRWEB) June 13, 2012

India Network Foundation, a non-profit US based sponsor of health insurance in the USA, announced that since the introduction of the Comprehensive Visitor Health Insurance with Pre Existing Condition Coverage in February 2012, the enrollment rate in pre existing condition coverage has more than doubled for visitors selecting medical insurance for travel in the US.

While the trend for pre existing condition coverage has been consistently upward since its introduction in 2006, the current year participation rate has doubled, primarily reflecting parents ages 55 to 89 seeking emergency medical coverage for pre existing issues. The high acceptance rate reflects the need in the marketplace for comprehensive and pre existing coverage without the restrictive clauses required by other plans excluding coverage for emergencies related to current medications or medical conditions.

With more than half of visitor medical insurance enrollments electing pre existing condition coverage, the introduction of a comprehensive pre existing plan for the Indian community prone to heart disease and diabetes was a natural evolution of the travel health insurance plans offered by India Network Health Insurance, said Professor KV Rao, India Network Foundation founder.

The Comprehensive Coverage plan participates in the MultiPlan network and offers 80% co-insurance up to the first $ 5,000 of eligible medical expenses and 100% of additional eligible medical expenses up to the maximum coverage based on age group. Plan comparisons are available for all ages at http://www.kvrao.org/easyselect.html.

Professor KV Rao added, We are pleased to have had soaring participation in the India Network health insurance programs over the recent years to enable the roll-out of the Comprehensive Plan without the typical exclusions required by other underwriters.
